Volunteer of the Month: Alan Raisman

Help us celebrate and give a big round of applause to our incredible Volunteer of the Month, Alan Raisman!

He doesn’t have a cat at home,
but cats don’t know that’s true;
they flock to him at Stray Cat Blues,
as if they somehow do.

He laughs his way through merchandise,
delighted just to sell,
each T‑shirt, game, and sticker strip
a story he can tell.

From spreadsheets, forms, and emails
to “Sure, I’ll help with that,”
he quietly keeps the gears in sync
for every fostered cat.

He worked with us as staff before,
came back as a volunteer,
and even with a brand‑new job
He's promised to stay near.

On weekends he is with his family,
some weeknights, here with “ours,”
proving that a heart like his
turns rescued cats to stars.

So here’s to Alan’s steady hands,
his humor, time, and art—
Stray Cat Blues runs stronger
for the kindness of his heart.
