At Collegeville PetSmart, where weekends begin,
There's a quiet force steady amidst the din.
With calm coordination and a heart full of grace,
She keeps things in order, each cat in its place.
Each week like clockwork, her emails go out,
"Who needs a space?" she kindly will shout.
She gathers the answers, no detail askew,
Then logs every name in the Calendar view.
Saturday dawns, and like sunrise, she's there,
Setting up cages with meticulous care.
Greeting the fosters with patience and pride,
Helping them settle, their nerves as their guide.
She processes adoptions with kindness and cheer,
Helping kitties find homes year after year.
She juggles the schedules, the chaos, the crew—
Balancing Cat Crew and fosters too.
Though once she asked, "Can someone step in?"
Months have gone by, yet she still wears the grin.
No murmurs of burden, no hint of regret,
Just steadfast devotion we won’t soon forget.
Fostering year-round, with compassion so wide,
She covers the vet bills that others let slide.
For every sick kitten or cat needing care,
She gives from her heart — and her own purse, to be fair.
When trouble arises, as with her most recent case,
She’s honest and kind, never losing her grace.
She writes to the Board with respect in her tone,
Facing hard times, but never alone.
Let this month be the one where we finally say—
We see all you do, every long weekend day.
Your work, your care, your tireless drive,
Keep Stray Cat Blues’s mission so deeply alive.
And let us not forget Steve, always near,
Providing tech support, lending his ear.
Together, a team so humble, so bright,
Helping cats take their first steps toward light.
So here’s to you, Gilda — this month and beyond,
Of your strength and your service, we're deeply fond.
In moments of challenge, let this honor show:
You’re treasured, appreciated — more than you know.
