Celebrating Together Tuesday!

Celebrate Together Tuesday with us on June 23! It’s all about recognizing and encouraging service in our local communities. On this Together Tuesday, we’re celebrating the fosters and trappers of Stray Cat Blues by sharing their stories.

You’re invited to join and support Stray Cat Blues. Together, we can save lives!

Skye’s Story

Huggy is five weeks old and was rescued a few weeks ago from the time stamp list at ACCT Philly. Jasmine is an estimated 15 year old kitty we rescued off the streets last year. She has kidney disease, is deaf, and has severe arthritis.

Being able to care for such vulnerable lives from neonates to seniors, is everything to me. Jasmine is so sweet and was so close to death just under a year ago. Now she is living the life here, making friends with our resident pets and fosters!

Lauren’s Story

One of the many reasons I foster through Stray Cat Blues is because of cats like this sweet girl. After spending 13 years in one home, this senior purebred Himalayan was surrendered through no fault of her own and arrived scared, withdrawn, and shut down.

With time, patience, and lots of love, she slowly transformed into the gentle, affectionate cat she was always meant to be. Watching her learn to trust again was incredibly rewarding. Recently, she found the perfect forever home with a kind, loving woman who understands and cherishes her. Seeing this happy ending reminds me why fostering is so important and why I continue to open my home to cats in need.

Donna’s Story

Rescue has helped so many relationships blossom for me through Stray Cat Blues. I still keep in touch with many of my adopters. As I continue learning through rescue, I’m able to pass that knowledge along to help educate others. Working as a substitute in my local school district has also connected me even more to my community, and I’ve recently started trapping cats in the area as well. Around school, I’m proudly known as “the cat lady.” Rescue is a constant journey of learning, healing, building connections, and educating both through the community and social media.

Liz’s Story

I enjoy helping shy cats gain confidence and trust. Watching them go from fearful and uncertain to comfortable and affectionate is one of the most rewarding parts of fostering. Giving them a safe place to grow and heal helps set them up for success in their future homes.

Stray Cat Blues serves our community in Montgomery and Bucks counties, but we know that cats don't pay attention to borders. It's an all encompassing problem and all counties are affected! You can join us as a volunteer or donor wherever you call home.
