A Cry for help in the form of Love and Purrs!

This past July one of our trappers, Amy, trapped a cat who we named Charlie.  When she went to put him in his crate, he jumped back out and climbed right into her lap purring while demanding his head rubs.  Amy reached out to me to help Charlie.  My name is Susan and I am a Foster with Stray Cat Blues.

Charlie had a very bad case of ear mites with sores on his head from scratching and advanced gum/teeth infection causing sinus issues.   I had to constantly wash his bowls because of how much blood was on them.  Charlie never once tried to bite me or scratch me while giving him his meds and antibiotics that he was on before and after tooth extraction surgery.  After Charlie's teeth were pulled, his sinus issues all cleared up.  By the end of October with improved health, Charlie was ready for his forever home! My sister's neighbor was ready to adopt again after her 17 old cat passed away back in the spring.  She wanted an older cat and it had to be orange.  Charlie was perfect for her and on October 29th Charlie was adopted.

Two different vets told me that they believed he belonged to someone at one time.  The first picture is right around the time he was trapped and the second one is him asleep on his mom's legs.  Thank you to all the trappers that take the time to save these cats and the fosters who give them a second chance.  I wish they could all be as lucky as Charlie.
