Imagine being alone & meals are never guaranteed... that was Gina

Gina was just 9 months old and all alone living out her days on the streets. She often relied on strangers in the community to provide her next meal. When the one person she often relied on could no longer look out for her, they reached out to Stray Cat Blues for help. Gina was taken into foster care where she proved she was not ready to join the world of adoption. Eventually Gina was transferred over to Whiskers Way Station, a rehabilitation center for cats needing more socialization and TLC.  Gina did not have a mean bone in her tiny body but was painfully shy. It took Gina months to make  some new friends.

The staff felt it was finally Gina’s time to shine! She was posted for adoption! However, shortly after, the staff noticed Gina was developing a skin condition. Off to the vet Gina went where it was discovered that she suffered from food allergies. Placed on a special diet meant Gina would be restricted to a cage in order to ensure her diet was controlled. Unfortunately, Gina was missing her friends and her freedom and this sent her into a downward spiral. Fosters grew concerned that all Gina’s progress would have been for nothing. However, once again one of our amazing fosters stepped up and took Gina in. There Gina was back to her happy self! She thrived with her new foster and on her new diet and not long after, she was adopted and today, Gina is living her best life!
