Volunteer of the Month: Skye Morris

We are thrilled to announce that our Volunteer of the Month for April 2024 is Skye Morris, who has been an unwavering pillar of support and dedication for over 4 .5 years at Stray Cat Blues.

Skye’s commitment to our cause runs deep through her incredible work with some of our most vulnerable rescues. She has lovingly taken on the demanding role of caring for bottle baby kittens, a task that requires waking up every 3-4 hours, around the clock, to ensure these tiny kittens thrive.

As a foster home coordinator, Skye has orchestrated the placement of countless kittens, providing them with safe havens and second chances. Her own home is a testament to her compassion, often transformed into a sanctuary for kitties, including those with complex medical needs. One recent notable example is Sammy, who suffered a traumatic brain injury. Under Skye’s care, Sammy has made significant strides, a heartwarming reminder of what dedication and love can achieve.

Beyond her fostering achievements, Skye is an integral part of our Emergency Medical Response Team. She also goes above and beyond to administer FVRCP vaccines , protecting our cats from serious illnesses. Her dedication doesn’t stop there; Skye also manages the distribution of medications within the Collegeville area, ensuring our feline friends receive the care they need in a timely manner.

Her role as a mentor is equally impactful, always available to guide and assist fellow fosters, sharing her knowledge and experience to enhance the care provided across our network.

Skye’s actions embody the spirit and mission of Stray Cat Blues, and her contributions are a significant factor in the success and resilience of our organization. Her ability to juggle multiple roles while providing exceptional care and support is nothing short of miraculous.

Please join us in celebrating Skye Taylor as our Volunteer of the Month. We are immensely grateful for her passion, her empathy, and her relentless dedication to every cat that comes our way.

Skye, thank you for everything you do—you are a true hero in the hearts of many, and especially in the eyes of the kitties you’ve saved.
