Application to Adopt a House Cat

Thank you for considering the adoption of one of our cats to become a companion and member of your family.

Please note: our primary adoption efforts are focused in Montgomery and Bucks counties (Pennsylvania), but we will occasionally and on a case-by-case basis, make placements in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

Please fill out the form below and be sure to click "Send Form" at the bottom.  If you would prefer to complete a paper application, please come to our weekend adoption hours and we would be happy to help you.

Many questions on the form relate to prior pet ownership and current pets you may have.  We do also welcome applications from first time pet owners and those who may not have had a pet for a while.  Please just be sure to provide a reference and their contact information, so that we can confirm that you will be a loving, responsible pet owner.

If you are an existing pet owner we will contact your current vet as a reference.  If your vet has a privacy policy, we will need you to contact them and agree to let them speak with our Adoption Representative.  Vets with privacy policies include: Harleysville Veterinary Hospital, Hickory Veterinary Hospital, Horsham Veterinary Hospital, North Penn Animal Hospital, Rau Animal Hospital, Animal Hospital of Warwick, and Rockhill Veterinary Associates.  You may want to go ahead and contact them to help streamline the process.  Thanks!

More information on the adoption process can by found by clicking here.

Please note: The one thing all of Stray Cat Blues adoptable kittens and cats have in common is that they've all been abandoned at some point in their lives. For this reason, we will take every precaution possible to feel certain that the adopted kitten or adult cat will never be abandoned nor suffer through the trauma of being re-homed again. We want to be as certain as possible that each kitten/cat adopted will be going to its "forever home" to live out its entire life, without exception.  Applications are not on a first come first served basis. Our goal is to unite pets and people to form loving and lasting families. Refusal to adopt a particular cat to any one person is in no way an indication that we feel that person would be a bad pet owner - only that we feel the situation may not be best for that particular cat. We feel that our experience in this area must be our guide to a successful adoption.

Be sure to click on Send Form at the bottom once you have filled in the application.  You should then see a message saying "Your form message has been successfully sent."  Once the form is submitted, one of our Adoption Representatives will be in contact with you within 72 hours.  If you do not hear from us within that time, please email us at savingstrays@yahoo.com (because we don't want any technical glitches to prevent you from adopting your purr-fect cat).
